• Adding other QWK based networks?

From the sysop@VERT/CAPSHRIL to All on Sunday, February 23, 2014 19:36:00
What directory should I put the files for an additional QWK network I'd like to join? I looked in the wiki and googled, but couldn't find any information other than here:

    http://synchro.net/docs/networking.html

Which, has information about setting up the networking, but do I need to do anything with the files in the zip file I downloaded from the network hub?

If I'm not mistaken, here is where you can find the info. Just substitute your QWK network name in place of where it says Dove-Net in the How-To's.

    http://wiki.synchro.net/howto:dove-net

Also have to setup the Network HUB which can be found in SCFG > Networks > QWK Packet Networks > Network Hubs. Add your new one there.

What files are you referring to? Do you mean the info packet? The files in the info packet can go anywhere, it doesn't matter; and you'll only need those files temporarily anyway, so they don't need to be in a permanent location.

Without knowing what's *in* the zip file you downloaded from the network hub (and I have no clue what might be in there besides a list of sub-boards/conference numbers and maybe some rules and instructions), I can't guess what you're supposed to do with the files. Did you try reading any of the
files included in the .zip? I assume it would come with some instructions.
