• posting to fidonet echomail with real names on web

    Hi guys,

Has anyone noticed that when posting messages via the default webserver settings to fidonet, that synchronet doesn't seem to honor the post as real names for echo mail? IN other words, my subgroup settings say that it should post using real names, and when I do so on the BBS, this works, but when I do it via web it doesn't. Is there a setting a can tweak or should I use something like intermail to make reading echomail and replying to it more
    easy.

It just sounds like a bug in the web interface. I'll take a look-see.

I tried to reproduce it but could not. I just posted to a FidoNet sub-board using Vertrauen's web-interface and it posted using my real name (Rob) instead of my alias (digital man).

Is it possible you're running an older version of the web interface or a different web interface than the current stock (runemaster) one?

Well, it must have been a glitch when I first posted. I too have posted several times to echomai now with no problems. Sorry to bother you about it.
