Hi All,
I have another question. I've Googled, and hit up the Wiki, and even had a couple of discussions with some online folks on IRC and can't seem to figure this out.
I've configured LORD based on the settings in the WIKI for both the LORDCFG nodes, and the External Program entry, and we can't seem to get it to work.
I'm running Synchronet Win32 V 3.15 on Windows 8 32bit.
I can run LORD locally, so it's not a 16bit issue.
Is it Windows 8 that's causing my problem? I've been considering moving to Linux and working with DOSEMU to get doors running, but if someone can help me understand the problem with my current config, maybe someone who has this setup running already? I would be very grateful.

Thanks to those of you who replied, I was able to solve the issue.
It was a two change fix. Firstly, I don't remember reading anywhere, although I'm sure it was there, that you had to move the fossil
driver .dll to the Windows\System32 folder - Once I did that, I
started to get somewhere, but it would still crash. It would now
pretend as though it was going to execute something on the telnet
side with a blinking cursor, and on the Windows 8 box an error would
pop up about the Com port. After messing around with some settings, something popped into my head. If it needs something in System32...
maybe it needs admin rights? So, I started the Synchronet Control
Panel with Administrative rights, and BAM! Everything is working.
Thank you to you who replied, and pointed me in the right direction.
This is twice now that posting my issues here has led to my
successfully moving on in the configuration of my system.
Thanks,
Jay
P.S. If anyone would like to drop by and maybe provide me with some
direct feedback? I'd appreciate it. It looks vanilla, and only has
LORD as a custom DOOR, but any testing anyone could do would be appreciated.
