Ok. I saw mc, a JS port of Milliway's Casino. I loved playing this game on WWIV. Unfortunately the 4 doors give errors, references to things not found etc I can post something more detailed if needed. Or do I have to do something special?
I tried getting the JS version of KNK to work. It displayed a bunch of
weird characters. I had to run the reset command in my shell to reset my terminal.
On that note I installed the TERMINFO file. However I got an missing separater error at the end of the file. I added a comma and tic compiled
it. Not sure if this relates.

KNK just looks totally weird.

Please post the details. Your error.log should have more information.

Which terminal were you using? KNK attempts to use SyncTERM/BANSI/ANSI music, but does attempt to reset the terminal properly at the end. If I know what terminal is messing up, I can add more recovery to KNK.

That's only used when running *nix terminal programs via the BBS, so "no". It's weird that I haven't got that error before though.
How did you download the file? Is it possible that you have a copy with CR/LF at the end of the line rather than a bare LF?

Austin Seraphin (Ascii Express) is the author. He just reopened his BBS not long ago, telnet://behindthecurtain.us.

I'm not sure what to make of that.
Austin Seraphin is *definitely* the
creator of BarneySplat. He wrote it in 1993.
It sounds like you are describing a later port of the game for Synchronet, written in Baja?

you are giving people vnc access to your bbs?

yep, back in sbbs 2.30 freeware
Definitely a port, not the original.
FWIW, here's a link to some old messages from 1999 when hkb announced his "Barney Splat":

As soon as he announced it, he immediately got messages from people saying things like "I've ran a game on my boards for about 4 years under the same name" or "Do you mean that you've translated Ye Olde Barneye Splate into a BAJA?"
