  • Error 38 in telnet window.

    Good morning all,
    I've been getting the same IP address scanning my system for a wile
    now. 84.95.88.100 keeps showing up every few seconds, I've blocked
    this a long time ago in the IP can. Every so often I'm getting in the
    telnet window 'error 38 selecting socket xxx for send' . My question
    is what dose this error mean. Is this IP address getting some sort of
    access or is this something else? Any information is welcome.

    I was seeing that address quite a bit as well. It connects and then disconnects frequently. I imagine that error just means that Synchronet was about to send something to the client, but it had already disconnected.

    get peerblock and block them that way so it doesnt tax the bbs, or if
    you have a decent router you can block the ip that way.
