I'll tell ya one thing... I'm never moving again.. lol!!

This one is mostly for digital man... but I'm sure everyone probably has the answer EXCEPT for me...

OK.. next issue. Being the Inter-BBS chat module originally needed port 25 and thanks to Comcast that isn't available anymore, I changed my services.ini to use port 18 for the MSP and MSP-UDP. I RLogin to to Vert, check to see if my system is listed there... nada!! Nothing.

Sorry to bug y'all but according to the docs, I have everything set properly. I want my port 25 back!!!! lol!!

    Answers???

    Thanks in advance...

There are services available that will do port 25 redirection. Basically you can set up an account with them, and they will redirect port 25 to a different port on your domain. I'm using one such service (DNSExit) right now since I also use Comcast and I'm in the same situation as you:
    http://www.dnsexit.com/
It costs money, but it's not that expensive. In order to use that type of service, you'll need to have a domain name where you can configure it to use a different mail host (or maybe SMTP host, I don't remember the term).

I am already doing a redirect but from what I've read, Rob already took care of that issue by coding MSP and MSP-UDP which is supposed to take it's place in case port 25 is blocked.

    Thanks...

The inter-BBS stuff is in a state of flux. It used to use finger and SMTP, but Deuce over-hauled it to use Active-User and MSP instead. Unfortunately, the program that generates the sbbslist.html and sbbsimsg.lst daily doesn't support
Active-User and MSP (it still checks for finger and SMTP support on the target BBS). Give it some time and we'll get it straightened out.
