    Romans Road

    The First Step
    None are righteous
Romans 3:10 As it is written, There
is none righteous, no, not one:

In Psalms 14:1-3 it explains the
foolishness of men. God loves us
all because He created us. In His
eyes we are all valuable. But none
are righteous, none can earn the
    right to stand with God.

    Wrong Is Wrong
    All have sinned
Romans 3:23 For ALL have sinned,
and come short of the glory of God.

To us, some sins seem bigger than
    others because the consequences
are bigger. Such sins as murder
seems bigger than hatred. But to
do lesser sins still does not earn
us salvation. Any sin makes us sinners,
God hates all sin, and all sin separates
us from God. To be separated from
God makes us sinners. To be separated
from God is to die. Therefore all
    sin leads to death.

    So What
    The consequence
Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man
sin entered into the world, and death
by sin: and so death passed upon all
men, for that all have sinned:

So, how come God judges us for what
Adam did so long ago? Is it really
fair that we should all be
    accountable for one man's sin?
Every day each one of us choose
to sin. We are not judged for what
Adam did, but for what we do.
Because of our sin, fairness is
not what we need -but mercy.

    Not By My Power
    The Gift Of God
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is
death: but the gift of God is
    eternal life through Jesus Christ
    our Lord.

Eternal life is a gift from God.
If it is a gift, then it is not
something that we can earn, nor
something we must pay back. What
    utter foolishness of someone who
receives a free gift out of love
and then offers to pay for it.
He saved us because of His mercy,
    not because of our righteousness.
    Perhaps we should be grateful
    and return love for love.

    A Gift, For Me
    God sent Jesus
    Romans 5:8 But God commandeth
His love toward us, in that
    while we were yet sinners,
    Christ died for us.

    While we were sinners--amazing words.
God sent Jesus to die for us, not
because we deserved it, but because
He loves us so much. Whenever you
feel uncertain about God's love for
you, just remember, He loved you
enough to die for you, even before
    you were born.

    Now Is The Time
    Believe and Confess
Romans 10:9-11, 13 That if thou
shalt confess with thy mouth the
Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in
thine heart that God hath rasied
him from the dead, thou shalt be
saved. For with the hear man
    believeth unto righteousness;
    and with the mouth confession
    is made unto salvation.
    For the scripture saith,
    Whosoever believeth on him
    shall not be ashamed. For
    whosoever shall call upon
the name of the Lord shall be saved.

    Believe and confess, too simple,
    or is it? Remember, salvation
is a free gift offered by God.
All we have to do with gifts is
to accept. If we believe they
are offered as gifts, and state
our acceptance of the gift, it
is ours. We can't earn his
    salvation, but we can accept
it as a gift. It couldn't be more simple.

    Saved by grace through Faith
Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye
saved through faith: and that not of
yourselves: it is the gift of God:
not of works, lest any man should boast.

    Always remember, we become Christians
through His grace, not the result of
any effort, ability, or good deed
we do. We are all equal children
of God. None better than any other.
