What are the opinions some of you have on Revelations? I think the second coming is Man acsending his conciousness to the "Christ" conciousness because Christ is a title, not a name. The scrolls and 7 seals are the awakening of the chakras, the new heaven and new earth, or the new kingodom of light, and our promised new bodies of light is when we discover that the key to immortality is bio augmentation and the new kingdom of light of the returned messiah is going to be a super futuristc society of light, and ultra high technology. The extraterrestrials will return to help us and we will think they are demons or something, Mary was abducted by aliens because she woke up in the middle of the night with blue light flooded in her house and a disembodied voice says shes pregnant, but shes a virgin so they had to artificially insemenate her. Then we have Jesus who was probably half alien. After all, God wasnt born on earth, so in every litereal sense of the word, God is an alien!

I have seen Holy things being mixed with alien ideas before. I have also seen aliens being used to describe 4th dimentional beings (demons). So I am no so sure.

I've read quite a bit on the different theories of Christianity and other mainstream religions' dieties and/or angels, etc being misrepresented and potentially being descriptions for extraterrestrials and their technology. I started being interested in the subject after I was looking through some conspiracy theory stuff and ended up knee-deep in translations of Sumerian texts talking about the Annunaki race and how they genetically engineered humankind to assist them with the need that brought them to our planet in the first place. It's very interesting theory, and it branches out quite a few different ways. I know that on the History Channel, Ancient Aliens has gone over quite a bit of some of the permutations about this as well. Some of the episodes have, in fact, actually been based primarily upon xtian & religious dieties being aliens.
I'm trying to put together a good collection of text files about this kind of material right now on my BBS. If the discussion is still going here I'll post a notice when I find enough material on these matters for it to be worthwhile to visit there for that purpose.
The documentary Zeitgeist also goes into a bit of the ways that much more ancient pagan traditions got repackaged up into Christian lore, as well, and examines the connections between the holy texts and the astrological and astronomical information that we have available today, drawing a bit of an alien connection as well. Very interesting stuff. :)
