I'd be willing to bet there are more sysops than users these days!
That is a good point. More people are trying to be Sysops because they think they want to be the boss. But being a Sysop requires a lot of patience, determination and persistence. I mean I remember when I ran my bbses I would get people logging on saying, "Hey can you help me become a Sysop too?" Then they would ask me 1000 questions about what software they need and how to set it up. Then after that a lot of them stopped showing up later. I like being a Sysop because it is a challenge, hobby and relaxation all wrapped into a nice little package. A lot don't usually last too long because they feel more distraught about it and forget quickly.
