Finally after an evening of mucking about I managed to get some DOS doors running on my BBS. Had a bunch of help from the linux+dosemu setup docs, although they didn't quite work for BRE or FE, but after shuffling the paths some, it all worked.

Longest time spent ever on it since dosemu didn't want to cooperate to begin with.

Now to add some more doors and finish up with my ANSI's and maybe, god knows, I could just start advertising my board and see about getting some users :D

Glad to hear of your successes with DOSEMU. Me, I mucked around with it from time to time with some old games, but I never tried with a BBS. Is it me, or is DOSEmu about a HUNDRED TIMES more complicated than it really needs to be?

Anyway, you'll have to post your address if you get it up. Any ideas on what software you're going to run?

Hmm, not sure, it is a bitch to configure, it does run out of the box easy enough but to tweak it for running "old" BBS doors it can be a pain. Then to tweak it so it doesn't gobble memory like crazy is also important, mostly because I'll be running 8 nodes eventually and I could use the memory ;)

Anyway, you'll have to post your address if you get it up. Any ideas on wha software you're going to run?

Oh it's up :) I've been playing some BRE and FE the past few days ;) All by
my lonesome which is okay, just testing.

Will probably go for local BRE/FE/LORD and league play for the aforementioned games. I'm also working on a game of my own that borrows a lot from BRE and FE, but with a "modern" twist.
