    That's your environment not the bash script.
    All my bash scripts stay where they're told or CD'd to when they're done. You're just.. real dumb you forgot to look down and tie your shoes.
    Simple fix.

    Adjust the bas history by adding a command on the end, so that
    Up-Arrow brings this added command up as if it were the last command
    executed.

    That's gay and impossible, actually no echo the last command >>
    the same way you do with your faggoty twitlist to ~/.bash_history

    itll work if you run the script as root or if you make peoples .bash_history owned by themselves instead of root:wheel or root:username(grp side)

    I don't even code perl. WTF.
