Wow! I can't believe there are already 5 bbses now for Linux. That's a shock. I thought bbses were mainly for windows users. Looks like I was wrong.

I run linux on a sega dreamcast and actually run a bbs off it.. it was a read only type BBS but I kept doors and files on my computer and run telgates to get to those doors and file areas.. was kinda cool.

I've never tried them but are they any different than the windows ones, apart from the windows ones that were converted to linux though?

I heard Linux was invented in the 80's but I didn't get into it until sometime this year so I'm fairly new to it but I learned a lot from it though.

Oh yea.. there are some out there (can'nt remember names) that would really trip you out as a BBS, some does'nt have the layout of the dos based BBS and after configuration actually makes for great bbs experience. :)

Do you have a hard time understanding what you read? The subject is "BBS" and you are talking about you thinking that BBSes were mainly for windows users.
