Can anyone point me in the right direction for giving permission to sbbs
    to bind to the ports?

    The error I get is:

Another application or service may be using this port
ERROR 13 binding Gopher socket port 70
    seteuid FAILED
    Operation not permitted

I tried nmap -sT -0 localhost and the only services running are on ports
    631 & 5900. So I'm assuming I haven't set permissions for SBBS to use
    the ports correctly.

    Any tips?

Have you read docs/sbbscon.txt? Are you running as root?

BTW, this isn't the correct place for Synchronet support questions. :-)

Sorry about that, I wasn't sure if it was more of a linux support
question or not, so I dumped it here. :o

I will read sbbscon.txt and post further in SBBS Discuss if I have any
    more questions.

    No problem.
