Okay, in thunderbird, there is a dropdown option in thunderbird for "to" and for "reply-to" ... when you use the to, it tries to send a copy of the message
to an email address... this is bad.. :(

If you use the "Reply-To" you can set the effective "TO" in the post to whoever you like... which is cool for new posts... since the nntp service in sbbs looks up the to for reply posts, this isn't needed when replying in the same area... when cross-posting to a different sub, this is a good idea..

Just throwing it out there.. :)

I've had various issues with Thunderbird and nntp. For example, I have
Dovenet & fidonet, would be nice to make a folder for each with the subs
    in them.

I tried adding the same nntp with different subscriptions, but that
    really screws up TB. :)

I am still waiting for Deuce to add newsreading to Syncterm.. ;)

May want to consider multimail with qwk if you want a text/console solution. I don't mind the flat mode in nntp in tbird too much, though a tree for each level might be nice...
