Well, while the browser is stunningly better than Seamonkey, the mail system seems klunky... and importing is more painfull than expected. If the mail goesn't start getting better, it may be back to Seamonkey. :-(

Oh Please, you actually use your web browser for reading mail? Here's a th ought.... Try a "Mail Client".... Like trying to use a web browser to FTP,
or expecting your FTP Client to allow you to telnet into your BBS... Next
thing you know, your going to be saying your trading in your brand new Lamborgini because it won't float in the middle of the lake while you
    fish from it....

No, but I might trade it in beacuse you can''t install a stero in it... I know, I know, you'll be saying "Try a ``Ghetto Blaster'' you won't need to sit in your car to listen to it!"

Seamonkey takes less RAM than either Firefox or Thunderbird when displaying only a browser or only mail and takes less than both combined when displaying both. All three together take less ram than Evolution.

Further, Seamonkey has things that Firefox does not... such handy things as logging off of a web site etc. as well as more options you can frob without needing to go into about:config hell.

    I think both are acceptable.

As is "Brixton briefcase" or "Rasta blasta".

Just use Thunderbird for your mail, then you don't need to use Opera's mail client... unless you have something specific demanding an all in one client.

I would use less RAM if I used Seamonkey as my email client. T-Bird takes more RAM than Seamonkey.

I use an all-in-one as a personal preference.

Dunno, Outlook doesn't run on FreeBSD.

Probably because the UI in tbird is all XUL driven, which is nice for modifications/plugins... That's probably why it uses more memory,
it's still the best imho for multiple accounts.. I use it as a
personal preference, as RAM is secondary.

Outlook is the beast, but if you use its' features (generally with Exchange,
or another service with a plugin for Outlook), there really isn't a better replacement...

I can't stand it myself... I don't use Exchange, and won't touch Outlook for my own needs.. the mail.dat file that gets sent when there is embedded content via outlook (pasted picture) pisses me off, when I get these attachments... would be nice if outlook would at least save it to a png/jpeg attachment, and push it through that way.
