    Protonmail has this:

"Catch an embarrassing typo after you hit send? Our new Undo Send feature is now in beta in the web app and is enabled by default for all users, including Free users. Undo Send gives you a chance to correct your message after hitting send. It’s set to a 10-second delay by default, but you can also choose 5 or 20 seconds."

Nice, this feature on Gmail has saved me a couple of times.

I totally forgot about the one in Gmail. Undo Send was set to 5
sec. I pushed it to 30 sec.

Most of the time I use a local email program. When I "send" the
message is first just parked in the outbox. That way, I have
plenty of time to review or reconsider ultimately sending
    something.

Ah... but Gmail doesn't *really* do an undo-send. ;) It most
likely saves every message for their data collection activity.

How so? I imagine Gmail's undo-send probably works the same way, by delaying the actual send so you have time to decide to undo the send.

I suppose that's true, but I don't see what that has to do with undo-send.

What I meant was that gmail probably keeps a record of the
message whether you send it or not.

ok.. techinically un-send appears to work from the sender's pov.
My original point was poorly communicated.
