Awwww..... it doesn't look too bad though. Definitely repairable. Try harder next time. :-)

Yes, it looks like it will be fixable. I won't know for sure how
difficult the fix will be until I cut away the MonoKote and examine the structure more carefully. Hopefully there won't be any longditudinal
cracks running up the fuselage towards the front!

When I first built it, I said that the elevator looked to be a weak spot.
So true, it was broken as well as the fuse.

The trouble now, is to find the *time* to do some work on it. I've been spending very little time at home recently. usually arriving home after midnight and leaving again at 6:00AM.

I have an elderly relative who needs some care. I visit them every
morning to make sure everything is OK, and go on to work from there. Then
I go back there after work, and stay until they have gone to bed, then I
clean up the house and come home.

It is exhausting, and leaves me with very little free time, because while
I am not actually doing much for most of the evening, I am stuck there and can't (for instance) build a new model or reconstruct my home network...

Ah, sorry to hear. That's a noble cause anyway. Here's to a speedy recovery... <raises glass>

Thanks. Alas, unless they discover the Fountain of Youth, I don't think a recovery is in the cards. 84th birthday this weekend...
