• I want one of those!

From Angus McLeod@VERT/ANJO to Digital Man on Sunday, January 22, 2006 00:39:00
I gave the *dead* battery pack out of the Elder to Norman, who took it
home and put it on his cycler/reconditioner. It apparently rejuvenated
the battery just fine! I tested it out today by taking the Elder for a flight.

Ir was gusty and strong, and I was actually able to pull the nose up, ease
the throttle back, and fly the Elder about 150 feet *backwards*, much to everyone's amusement. Later, I was making a fairly high (100' plus) pass, when the aircraft just hit a wall and began to settle vertically downward.
I decided to turn it into a landing, and she came down with an *almost* vertical descent, and settled onto the strip. Roll out was about five
    feet.

I love the Fokker and I've grown fond of the ELder too, but I REALLY want
a fast aerobat! The red and yellow Sukhoi SU-31 I was thinking about has
been bought by another member. (And the big Junkers JU-87 Stuka too, for
    that matter!) :-(
