Definitely. I did some "flying" of my my own this weekend, but wasn't in the air long enough for any photos.

I "repaired" the Zagi 400-X, enough for strictly gliding (no motor/prop or heavy battery), but the wind was just too swirly and inconsistent to fly in. :-(

I've been flying with the sim quite a bit and am getting eager to get back in the air again. The gas planes are the most fun (no suprise to you I'm sure), with gliders my 2nd fav. Electrics are okay, but since I don't have to actually build/gas/clean the thing, I go for the gas when I have the option. :-)

I think the fokker is in the 2nd expansion pack. I'll have to get that one. There are a couple bi-planes incluced, by no tri-planes.

Definitely. I did some "flying" of my my own this weekend, but wasn't in the air long enough for any photos.

    Good show!

I "repaired" the Zagi 400-X, enough for strictly gliding (no motor/prop or heavy battery), but the wind was just too swirly and inconsistent to fly in. :-(

If you're flying a 400X without the main battery or any of the other
standard components, you will have to fiddle with the center of gravity.
I can't remember where the balance-point is right now. If the CoG is off, you'll never get it to fly. Tail-heavy is the worst.

I've been flying with the sim quite a bit and am getting eager to get back i the air again. The gas planes are the most fun (no suprise to you I'm sure), with gliders my 2nd fav.

I like 'em both. Releasing a glider in good lift and watching it rise effortlessly is a great pleasure. And it *never* fails to surprise people
who have not seen slopers in action before! Banging the throttle open and letting that snarling/shrieking glow-motor drag a nice model straight up
    is a thrill, too.

Electrics are okay, but since I don't have to actually build/gas/clean
the thing, I go for the gas when I have the option. :-)

There is a place for electric. You can get some great electric aircraft
that perform beautifully. But price/performance, I think wet fuel still
    beats dry.

OTOH, there are people building small aircraft and flying them in ways
that only electric power is feasible. For instance, you can get a Pitts Special bi-plane with a 10" wingspan. take off off your coffee table, do
a full arobatic programme in the livingroom, and land back on the coffee table! Alas, these aircraft cost more than a rip-snortin' 60" span muscle-plane!

I think the fokker is in the 2nd expansion pack. I'll have to get that one. There are a couple bi-planes incluced, by no tri-planes.

Other than my little electric tiggie I've never flown a bipe. I'm *told*
that they are hard to maintain orientation on in the air, because the two wings are easily confused in your mind. I can believe it. The tripe is a *load* of fun, trying to retain mental orientation!

I balanced teh CoG on the cross-spar, like the manual said to. I think if the wind was steady, she'd fly great. But it was very turbulent and coming and going from different directions, I don't think flight was possible. I'll try again on another windy day for sure.

Yup. I'm actually able to do some minor 3D stunts with the right plane (e.g. the Yak) in the sim now. Landing exactly on the strip is still the biggest challenge for me. :-)

Oh, good. Let me know if you have success.

I wish I had a Yak. The radial engine on the Yak and Sukhoi look good,
but the Sukhoi is just too common.
