Two more flights today, with everyone Oooh-ing and Ahh-ing at the slow, vintage flight envelope.

First flight, 16 minutes exactly, with the Saito popping along at a fast tick-over and the aircraft creeping along a few feet above head height. Several people commented that they could walk out and grab it. It's a
little nerve-wracking to hold it at this sort of speed, so close to the ground, because it'd only take one gust of wind flipping it over and you
would have lots of fun trying to respond in time to save it. But hey!
    You gotta have fun right?

Second flight was only just short of 8 minutes when I throttled back a
little too far and the Saito stopped. It was too far and too low to get
back, given the high-drag nature of the airframe, but I angled down for a large patch of long, soft grass that I *knew* was out there, behind a wall
of wild tamarinds. made my approach, and as she went down behind the wild tamarinds, I flared and landed without seeing the model. We went out,
picked it up, and brought it back without a scratch on it.

I'd have flown some more, but Rudy insisted on flying his plane (which I
am going to name "Hatchet Job") and I kept on the ground for those
    episodes.

No new photos, except one taken by Rudy of Dotty watching the Elder come putting past, but unfortunately, it was shot with the plane directly
behind Dotty's head, and therefore, not actually visible at all. :)

I guess there's something to be said for a plane that passes by slow
enough you can really get a GOOD look at it.

Maybe I'll take up miniature hot-air ballooning.

    :)
