Didn't get as much done today as I'd hoped (what with the telephone
ringing all the time). Locktited and torqued down a lot of fasteners, and
ran the engine for a short time, to confirm that she did run, and that the exhaust manifold didn't leak, nor vibrate itself off the model.
Also, yesterday I ran into a guy who is a pilot (of full-scale aircraft)
and we talked about control throws. As a result of discussing it with him
and studying the book on programming the radio, I now have fully operating flaperons, fired by a switch, with the option to induce some elevator
movement simultaneously, if deploying the flaps causes a change in pitch.
All electrical systems on deep-cycle charge today (fuel pump, starter
motor, plug heat, Tachometer, Rx and Tx power, etc. Tomorrow I replace
the cowl, and I'm done. Conditions willing, it looks like Sunday.
