I fiddled with the cowl today, cutting away access holes to suit my
Thunder Tiger PRO .46 motor. Came out rather nice!

Had the final job inspected by a couple seasoned constructors to see if
there is any requirement for extra cooling slots. Verdict: No.
Essentially, it's finished. I've got to remove the cowl, set a couple of bolts properly with Locktite, re-mount the cowl, and do some final
fiddling around the avionics hardware; just to wrap and stow the Rx, and
add two extensions to the servo connectors. Then a final check on the
balance (which can't have changed much, so no serious adjustment is anticipated -- fingers crossed), and a final check on the throws.
After that, it's charge it up, and go flying. I may test-run the motor at home before taking it to the field, because it's been apart a few times
since it last ran, and I wouldn't like to get all the way up there to
discover it has some minor problem!
Just my luck -- the club's annual AGM is Saturday, so it looks like
Sunday, weather willing! And the weather has NOT been cooperating...
