• New aeroplane in Florida

From Angus Mcleod@VERT/ANJO to Digital Man on Tuesday, June 07, 2005 18:30:00
My new SeaBee Sport/F3A Pattern model has arrived in Florida, and is in
tyhe hands of my shipping agents. I don't know when it will reach me here
in Barbados, but I'd like to get it before the weekend. However, I don't
know if this will actually happen. If it catches a plane tomorrow, I
might get it Friday, but if it doesn't get on the plane until Thursday or Friday, it will be the middle of next week before I get my hands on it.

Having been 'grounded' for several months now (miffle of Frbruary when the BrightStar went down hard), I've been quite relaxed about not flying. But with the Seabee 'in the pipe', I am *itching* to get back in the air
    again!

I'm hoping that I won't discover that I'm missing some critical part that
will have to be ordered with additional delay!

    Is it not sloping season?

    Is it not sloping season?

    Technically, no.

Sloping season usually runs from about October through to March/April the following year. But for the last couple of years the sloping season has
not actually materialized. And we have been getting a couple windy days
    here and there in between.

To tell the truth, the seasons have been very screwy these last couple of years, what with extremely dry wet-seasons and very wet dry-seasons. The
rain has been BUCKETING down recently, the last few days in particular.
I've been driving around with a can of WD-40 in the car, and had to use it three times in the last two days.

Who knows what will happen next?
