Another one down in the bush today :-/ Colin's silver delta. Nice aircraft and really too much plane for him, but who am I to say?

So another afternoon bashing my way through ten-foot bush, and hoping the spiders don't decide to gang up on me. I had fuelled up but not yet flown, and I never *did* get a chance to fly, because by the time we came back it was very late and we were all uh, 'bushed'. By time I could catch my breath it was really too dark to be making a flight.

And we never did find the delta. :-(

I thought he'd call for a search-party today. Maybe tomorrow? From Wednesday I'll be back on Hospital duty and told him so.

I am making a 4' tall periscope to allow me to see the surrounding bush from that much higher than my head. It will no doubt induce much mirth at the club. I just hope I can actually find something with it before I drop/break it...

It would be a shame to lose the Delta. Attractive, nippy, unusual. One of those I-want-one-ish types of aircraft. But also, there's the engine, receiver, battery/switch, tank, and at least two (probably three) servos. Even if it is a write-off, you want to get your gear back.
