We're really torn.
What do you think? Have you been to any of the three? Which would you prefer, and why? I am hoping you guys can help us figure out where to go (and soon, because prices are going up!)
Now we're stumped. And each day that goes by, another $50 or so is potentially added to the ticket until we decide and buy.
I almost bought for Oslo tonight. But then my wife and I went back and forth about maybe going back to Stockholm. And Copenhagen is high on the list too, because a lot of our friends on Facebook said it was great (though they hadn't been to Oslo for comparison); also, I'm technically part Danish!
if you go to norway it's going to be very expensive and they shut down the stores 'n shit very early.
I'm part Swedish, so I'd go for Stockholm. You could rent a car and drive to the others fairly easily, I think.
We ended up booking a flight to Stockholm. We'll make that our home base, and maybe escape out to Copenhagen by train (5 hours from Stockholm). We're only there for 7 days (6 with the loss from travel), so we'll see.

how is that an out of place statement? you were talking about traveling abroad and i pointed out there's some great places to visit in the usa.
someplace nice doesnt have to be a long planetrip away in another country.

But my point is that by getting away, and spending time in other countries, your perspective changes over time, and you can apply what you have learned and your new opinions back at home.

The post was specifically about non-USA, so to bring it back to USA seems a little unnecessary. But again, I appreciate the sentiment.

True, but what exactly are you trying to say? There's a whole world out

what am i trying to say? what didnt you understand about that?
He was talking about travelling outside the USA and then you made your comment about there being good places within the USA to visit.. I don't think he was arguing against that, so I wasn't sure what your point was (similar to his confusion on it).
i dont think anybody should be confused when somone is talking about traveling abroad and i say 'dont forget there's plenty of great places to visit right in the united states'.
i swear, the level of asperger's syndrome here is astounding.
True, but what exactly are you trying to say? There's a whole world out there, and sometimes it's interesting to explore outside of the home country. It's all about experiencing other cultures, seeing the different sights, and all that stuff. I think some of my most interesting trips have been outside the US.
to visit more. I haven't visited anywhere in Scandinavia but I think it would be
interesting. I've always wanted to visit Japan too.
