having an issue with sexpots
1 time out of about 100 or 200 calls it logs in fine
the other times it connects but i get tuns of garbage accross the screen
and then disconnects me and sexpots terminal window closes it self
the window closing it self only happens now and then
but the problem im having is the garbage on the screen and it keeps scrolling with garbage, and 1 time out of about 200 tries it connects
any one have any ideas why its doing this or know of a fix

Sounds like line noise to me. It was common in the 80's and 90's when everything was done over phone lines. Have it checked by your provider.

Is there any chance that the signal is being carried over VoIP at any stage? That has been the #1 modem connectivity issue that I've had to deal with in an admin sense when I had anything similar.
The packets take different routes when VoIP is involved. Sometimes they get dropped, because the different routes travelled take too long, and they aren't put back together in time to make the right 'analog' signal. That doesn't hurt something with a data speed such as voice communications, but when you're working with compressed, high speed data over such a line, you're in for a lot of pain and hardship.
