• magicJack and porting your number

Is anyone using magicJack for their home phone service? I am wondering something regarding the porting of your current phone number. If you allow magicJack to port the number, is it still a local call for other people in your town who try to call you?

I couldn't find anything in the FAQ regarding that, so I was wondering.
    Thanks.

The number will alwas be local to the location the number is assined. Ex. If your number is a number in the Somecity, ST. then it will alway be local to that area.

I was using magicjack as my bbs dial up line until I ran my wardailer on the magicjack. They did not like that and kick me off. As to porting I am not sure but the number they give you works through the United States.
