I want to build a Simple antenna out of wire. I have a lot from speaker wir
I only have a rubber ducky antenna and I've made wire antennas before to receive but I don't have an SWR meter or anything of that sort so I'm curiou to what would be a good length for 2M without having to resort to worrying about damaging the unit.

If your using it for TV or FM, Simple Coat Hanger Wire will do.
If your Building a Ham Radio Antenna, Then I Recommend Copper Wire, Real Thick or or Copper Tubing. Coal it around a PVC Pipe 1 or 2 " Should be ok.
Just Depend on the WATTS your using.
Also Depends on whether your using for your car. Then you will have Build a Support Structor for it.
To Say I want to build a Antenna will not get a direct answer.
So many variables.
