Any amateurs in Canada? Looking to write the Basic test soon and hopefully get honours as well. What did you do to pass, self-study, take a course, etc? Enquiring minds want to know.

I'm not in Canada, but I'm a Canadian amateur (VE5BSD).

I did self-study, but have a long history of electronics tinkering. Without that, I would likely reccomend a course.

I have an electronics background (automotive), but I am taking a course in April at a local club. There are too many distractions at home to get by with studying the question pool. Besides, I would like to actually understand all the concepts and not just pass the test.

    Cheers
