• S&W Model 645

From Weatherman@VERT/TLCBBS to ALL on Tuesday, October 02, 2007 15:16:00
    Hey all..

Considering the purchase of a (out of production) Smith & Wesson model 645
in stainless steel. Rear sight is windage adjustable (via drifting the dovetail) only, but I understand windage and elevation adjustable sights
are available for this weapon. Anyway, I figure a .45 ACP would be a good
fit between my "small" gun (.357 Magnum, 6 inch stainless) and its "Big Brother" (.454 Casull, 8 inch stainless). A

Anyone out there have any time with the S&W 645 and able to provide any
input? Purchase price should be in the neighborhood of $475, which may be
a bit high, but this IS being purchased from a dealer, not a private party.

    Thanks all!

Smith & Wesson 6xx models are all stainless.

    I can't comment on the 645, but I'm a 9x19 type of guy anyhow. If I
wanted something hotter than tht, I'd probably look at 10mm. I certainly would *never* purchase a .45ACP! They don't call them "Ole Ugly" for
    nothing!
