Hi All,

My CHL expires in a few months, and I'm not sure whether I'll take the time
to renew it or not. Just curious if anyone else has a CHL and if so, how often do you carry the gun? I'm in Texas BTW since I know laws vary per state.

Interesting... Here in NYS a handgun permit (by state law, all handgun
permits are concealed carry) is granted for life, they do not expire. Of course, they can be revoked "for cause," but we all know that every grantee
of a handgun permit is a fine, upstanding citizen and would NEVER allow
himself to engage in an activity that would result in a revocation of the
right to carry...

I wish the license was for life in Texas... ours expire every 5 years.
I'll probably end up renewing just to have it when I travel, which isn't
too often. I've checked the states I travel through, and all have laws recognising Texas's license.
