Kind of strange, would expect Australia to have/allow them... must be a
more american thing, but hunting and firearms are more traditional here
    I guess.

"Black" music? You think you know what "black" music is? :

Oh, I am sure you know what black music is, since you know EVERYTHING.

I know what "black" music is, because I have lived my life surrounded by
black people. I hear "black" music every time I turn on the radio or go
to a live performance. At certain times of year, I hear "black" music
every time I open my window. (Which never shuts, anyhow.)

Black music in my opinion would be RAP.

"Black" music in my opinion would be rap, dub, kaiso, soca, spooge,
reggae, steel, dancehall, hiphop, and a bunch of others which temporarily escape my memory at the present time. Plus various "fusions" of these
with each other, and with other "non-black" types of music. I like *MOST*
of these types of "black" music (even spooge, which usually gets me
laughed at around here) whereas I rather suspect there are some of these
that you have never even heard *OF*, far less heard.

And since you have already said that you don't like rap, then you
wouldn't know what black music is.

I rather think you just made a public fool of yourself.

Admit it Angus, you kept it because you have a secret crush on Lauren
    Hill.

I admit that there is some merit to "Turn Your Lights Down Low." I give thanks to Bob Marley for that...

Who is extreamly racist, by the way.. =o)

Who? Lauryn Hill? I know she was accused of this back when she was
with the Fugees, but as I understood it, she has always denied that it was true.

By the way, since you don't react well to suggestions, may I be permitted
to ask if the "Firearms Discussion" forum strikes you as a good place to continue this thread? Or would you think "Entertainment" might be a

Actually his first post to me was an angry message about my christmas

Angus jumped the hardest. I stoped him and said what I had tried to do
and I didn't need or want alot of crap about it (this is from my
recollections and are subject to mem loss) He was the only one that appologized.

    That's all it took.

Actually his first post to me was an angry message about my christmas
tree image... It didn't come out very well and a few folks though they should tell me so... (I don't see my own messages in QWK)

Angus jumped the hardest. I stoped him and said what I had tried to do
and I didn't need or want alot of crap about it (this is from my recollections and are subject to mem loss) He was the only one that appologized.

    That's all it took.

Yeah, he seems quick to jump someone for a mistake or comment he don't like. Overall though he does contribute alot and seems intelligent. I don't dislike him like I have noticed some people do, but he can be nerve racking at times, of course in his eyes I probably can be too. I believe in an apology if it is warrented, but if someone says something to me and MEANS it, then I don't
want an apology. But that is just because I don't apologize for something I mean. Guess I am just a jerk, huh? =o)

Strangest thing I ever heard was a guy running a sorta ragchewing pileup
on CW one night straight. What was strange was that he was driving his
car at 70 MPH through a blizzard at the time! :-)

I've also worked a guy on RTTY who was in a tent in a blizard on an island
in the artic. The temperature was so low his rig was drifting up-band as
much as 4-5 KHz when he keyed up, due to the effect of the heating of the finals. I had to follow him up-band with the VFO, keeping the RTTY tones within the 170 Hz capture window manually, then return to the nominal frequency to transmit.
