Also, it depends on the environment in which the ammo is stored. Ammo that
is stored in a dry semi-controlled environment usually has no problems.
Also, if you have ammo that is still sealed, you should be good to go!

What is the shelf life on Ammunition? Is there a shelf life. When My Dad passed away he had a bunch of deer shot, bird shot and a couple of other sizes he had on his shelf. How long is that good for? Is there a period o time that goes by that it is just not worth using?

I've had some 9 mm ammo for over 10 years now and Labor Day weekend the family and I used some of it up. No problems!!!
