Yes but you're missing the point... in many areas it takes 20 minutes or mo to get to the crime scene and a lot can and usually does happen in that time They are understaffed and underpaid for the work they do and being understaf often means the slow response time. I'd rather have some of my own protecti in that case rather than having the police show up with the coroner in tow.
