• Greenlights - Matthew McConaughey

From Ogg@VERT/CAPCITY2 to All on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 02:47:00
    Hello All!

Generally, I'm not particularily drawn to memoirs/biographies/
autobiographies of other people, particularly of actors, but
this one by Matthew McConaughey is rather interesting in style,
    presentation and ultimately its content.

    https://susepaste.org/97977069

It reads like genuine conversion. It has some colour photos
from his life and family. It's filled with replicas of notes,
musings, poems and thoughts from various points in his life
from the personal diaries he kept.

This one has a unique vibe that primarily is due in part that
it emotes a seemingly natural philosophical personality.

McConaughey, the philosopher. Who would have thought?

    He writes about his book:

"Hopefully, it's medicine that tastes good, a couple of aspirin
instead of the infirmary, a spaceship to Mars without needing
your pilot's license, going to church without having to be born
again, and laughing through the tears.

"It's a love letter. To life.

"It's also a guide to catching more greenlights-and to
realizing that the yellows and reds eventually turn green too.

    "Good luck.

The blurb has just convinced me to stay away. The book would need to be 100% horse pictures to have a
chance of grabbing my attention again. Thanks for the warning :-)

    LOL.

Being from Texas, I am sure he had some interactions with
horses. The book isn't a photo album, but maybe I spotted a
    horse or two.

I suppose you are familiar with:

in my mind, plenty of people are not screwballs.

That one is kind of a classic already. I have it somewhere in my shelf. I used the name of one of Robert's horses as an Internet nick back in the day.
