  • Hi everyone

    Hey all,

    I'm new to this BBS, I've been BBSing for weeks new but just found this BBS through the Captain's Quarters II BBS. I'm connecting on a Macintosh LC III running OS 8.1 hacked for the 030 processor using Born Again using Black Night through an ethernet card on the PDS slot. This BBS feels pretty responsive on this machine but I might try it on a PowerPC Macintosh when I get one and see how fast it is on there.

    That's quite a setup!

    I spent several years in the motorola/power PC era working on Macs, and
    would love to get a retro rig running again. For me, it'd be a IIci with a cache card, max the RAM out, and get one of those Apple Extended keyboards from the era - I loved those.

    I like the feel of the AppleDesign keyboard myself, reminds me of the keyboard I use on my main computer, because every key is pretty much in the same place as that.
