wife confirms.

Mortifis was the sysop of AlleyCat! BBS (1:249/110) and recently curated a museum of old
Synchronet releases and contributed much to the Sychronet community.

Gregg will be missed by many and may he rest in peace.

Gregg (a.k.a. Bernie) was a Synchronet sysop since at least 1994 and a staunch supporter. He's been active in #synchronet on irc.synchro.net for several years and maintained an excellent wit and self-deprecating sense of humor through-out his cancer battle. I hope you're having a pleasant ride, friend. You will be missed.

I am new to BBSes but I definitely recognise the name and have had interactions with Mortifis. So sad to hear... RIP Gregg.
