• Poll: Users vs Sysops

From Divarin@VERT/MUTINY to All on Wednesday, June 09, 2021 09:14:07
I'm running a poll so please respond.
I want to know how many people reading this message board specifically are:
    a) BBS user only
    b) also a Sysop of another BBS
I'm trying to get a feel for the userbase out there and how many of those run their own board.
I'm also asking this on fsxnet

    I am user only.

I see no reason to boot my own BBS since Gamgee is doing such a great work with Palantir. I can just take advantage of all his work and use his infrastructure. I could see myself booting a BBS for fun and as a learning experience, but I don't feel like doing such thing if I am the only one who is going to use it.

Mostly a user only, but I do have Mystic set up on a Raspberry PI that I'm playing around with.

I thought about setting up my own BBS and getting the networked message groups, but why do the work when others are nice enough to do it and let me use it for free?

I'm only a user right now. In the future I might set up a dialup BBS with Synchronet and a 486 I got hanging around.

User. I've set up a BBS to see what it is like, but it never went public.
