    Heh, I grew up in Northeast Texas and moved my wife to her hometown near Buffalo NY... don't miss those temps at all!

    Looks pretty nasty over there. Australia had its turnlast summer, though locally around here it was quiet. With La Nina this year, bushfire risk is likely lower, but might be chasing fast moving grassfires through boggy paddocks this coming summer. :/

    I am in Houston. I will gladly trade your 105++ at 15% humidity for my 93+ with 90% humidity any day. The only thing I miss from Californistan is the weather and I would give anything to bring it to south east Texas.

    I'd love to get out of NYC and live upstate. How are you and yours liking it up there?

    We've lived here since 2001 and it's been great for our kids, I've been able to find good jobs without a bad commute (about 30 minutes each way) and plenty of weekend activites. The weather takes some getting used to but beyond that it's been good.
