• an easter egg challenge

From August Abolins@VERT/PALANT to All on Friday, April 10, 2020 23:32:00
    Hi All,

I posted this in a a couple of other "nets", but I didn't want to exclude my friends in dovenet.

5 eggs have been hidden in 4 locations somewhere in the world and one egg on a planet.

    Locate all 5 eggs.

Originally, I requested that answers be submitted by NETMAIL, but I see that Palantir doesn't seem to have that area, so.. for my friends in dovenet, feel free to post your answere here if you are not concerned that someone else might "steal" your eggs.

    Clues..

Egg (1) in title of this song.

    Egg (2) in artist's name.

Egg (3) artist's country of origin.

Egg (4) in title of this song.

Egg (5) in album title, original release.

    Get started HERE: http://kolico.ca/fidonet/easteregghunt/

There is an optional "bonus" if you find all the eggs *and* submit your answers before the deadline. But, if you want a chance to win the bonus, you will need to email your answers to august@kolico.ca

    ..Regards,
    August

on synchronet systems, it is the email section... email (local and internet) and netmal are not specifically separated... just the addressing format is different when writing... but like other systems, it is also an operator's choice if they allow users access to netmail... some (still) do not...

Sorry.. this seems to be little bug in Sempoint. We all know that the 11th was Saturday. :(

I forgot to check the QWK packet config for Palantir where I can request adding or dropping areas. E-MAIL area was there for the asking! Duh.

But for a contest like the above, I should have thought of atleast another alternative to netmail, or a simple form on the webpage itself. Since this is/was a challenge to my ftn peers only, I wanted to limit the communication stream to the ftn technology itself.

BTW.. only one person has found all the eggs. But the answers were split into two submissions, with an incorrect egg in the first part - after I pointed out the error.

So.. I've put the eggs BACK out there in the world, and the next person is free to submit an answer "properly". :)
