I am looking to add a connection to a Tradewars server as one of my doors.
I assume that I need to set up an account with the TW server for my BBS,
then I just point a telegate external program entry towards that server?

Also, does anyone have any reliable TW servers they'd recommend?

I have a TWGS that's locked to my BBS right now. It's hosted on an instance in AWS so it's pretty reliable.

Honestly, no one really plays the games on it other than me, so I'd be happy to have another BBS or two hook into it.

I'd even be willing to bang a game or two specific to your BBS if you like.

Check out Valhalla Home Services. There's a TW server running there
and you may just be lucky enough to be allowed to rlogin from you BBS
if you ask nicely. Mentioned I recommended the BBS and that might
help.

What's the preferred way to setup a TW server? I have one up and running now
- I know rlogin supports a username/password authentication but how does that interact with TW?
