    The largest employer in the United States at one point used to be General Electric. Today it's Walmart. Let that sink in.

    And now GE is planning to cut spending by $2,000,000,000, partly by laying off a ton of its employees. I don't see Donald Trump jumping up and down about this, either. The official reason is that the last CEO "disappointed investors".

    How can any sane person look at this, as part of a history of the last 20 or 30 years, and not say "fuck the investors", I don't know... they only care about the money. If they had a moral obligation to do what's best for the country, not what's best for their shareholders, this wouldn't be happening. Period.
