• Frog in a Well

So I saw this cartoon once... it was in Korean so I needed help understanding it. But there was a white guy in a cowboy hat poking his head out of a well, like the kind you pull buckets of water of, and he looks all confused.

And it turns out there's a Korean (I think Chinese, also) saying: "a frog in a well". Like a frog in a well, means you live in some kind of reality bubble, and you're happy in your little bubble, like a frog at the bottom of a well.

So the traditional story is that a frog from the sea (wtf? do frogs live in the sea? But anway...) visits this frog from the well. And the frog in the well doesn't get a lot of visitors, he's just happy in the bottom of his well... but he's friendly enough and he asks the frog from the sea about the sea. Like, "what is the sea?"

And the sea frog is like.... how do I explain it? And he says, "well... it's really big."

Well frog: Really big? You mean like... a a tenth as big as my well?

Sea frog: Um... yeah... no, it's a lot bigger than that.

Well frog: Huh? How is that even possible? Like a quarter as big as my well?

    Sea frog: Um... no...

Well frog: WHAT? Like HALF as big as my well? That's fucking crazy!

Sea frog: Actually, sorry, yeah... it's bigger than that.

Well frog: WHAT????? You mean it's like, AS BIG AS MY WELL? THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE. MY WELL IS REALLY HUGE AND IMPORTANT!

Sea frog: It's about a billion times bigger than your stupid well.

    Well frog: WHAT?@?@?@?@?@??@?@?@?@

And the frog at the bottom of the well is livid, and he comes out of his well to see this impossible thing..... and he sees it off in the distance and his brain eplodes and he dies.

And yeah, it was a political cartoon about Americans.
