• 100 Meter Run

    Haha, I don't like your chances against me! (what's your 100m time? ;) ).

    0 -- because it's not a ham radio band, and I don't have RF gear. <G>

Hahaha, but how long does it take you to run 100m (you know, on your feet, V>nothing to do with radio)? :P

    I know...but I was being a genius burro...a smart @$$!! <G>

With my declining health, the main running I do now is to "the little
hams room", and I'm lucky not to trip over something on the way there.
That running was made worse after complications from 2 urinary tract
surgeries earlier this year...I hate to think what'll happen after my colonoscopy next fall. :P

Before my wife died, she had 2 T-shirts made for me, with these
    inscriptions:

FRONT: WARNING!! KLUTZ ON THE LOOSE!!

BACK: DANGER!! ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN!!

    Her response?? "That's him". :P

Nice to have the spouse so supportive. <G>

In short, I'm in far worse shape, health wise, than you...and they
keep finding stuff wrong with me. I'm going in for a complete physical
next week...the doctor will probably say "you're overweight", and I'll
say "Well, tell me something I don't know!!". :P

In answer to your question, the main place you'll "catch me" is on
certain ham radio modes...but stormy weather here may keep me QRT for a
few days. We need the rain and cooler temperatures...we've got Heat
Advisories and Excessive Heat Warnings all over the place. Even the
emergency responders and firefighters are having problems with it.

    Daryl

Haha, I know. :D But you were the one who wanted to take me on. Don't start what you can't finish! :D

Yeah, you've had a rather rough trot health wise, haven't you? My situation has been partly good luck (right genes, no serious accidents so far, not exposed to the wrong illnesses, etc) and partly good management through an active lifestyle.

Before my wife died, she had 2 T-shirts made for me, with these inscriptions:

FRONT: WARNING!! KLUTZ ON THE LOOSE!!

    Oh dear! :D

Yeah, not an issue I've had to worry about. I'm one of those for whom, BMI reports that I'm overweight, but my body fat is actually well inside the healthy range. The reason for the discrepency is my high proportion of muscle, which screws up BMI. So that's one measure I don't pay much attention to, because it is flawed, aand can under report or over report for body types outside the typical white person. So, how did all those health issues come about? All from the lightning strikes or other factors as well?

Yeah, for me of late, I've been on DMR more than anything else. Bought an OpenSpot and I'm finally able to make full use of my DMR radios (there's no infrastructure here).

Oh, and next time you try slapping me, you have less than 13 seconds to be 100 metres away. :D

... From this strange confusion grows a perverse communication.
