    Tim,

... Does the Little Mermaid wear an algaebra?

It's green colored if she does. :P

I love cheesy jokes.. speaking of cheesy jokes.. what happened to the dude th K>posted cheesy jokes in the general area. I kinda enjoyed them.. what was his K>name... Denny?

Don't know. But, I also LOVE pun humor...where the humor is drier than
the Sahara Desert...and the beauty of the pun is in the groan of the receipient. :)

In fact, in late April or early May each year, there is a "World
Championship Pun Off" in Austin, Texas. I post a message in the pun
related echoes on my system, in both GT Power and GatorNet, at least
once a month, which has more details.

You know, I thought this message looked familiar.. I was afraid we were getting into a dupe loop, or either was transported to the outer limits somewhere.

My long term memory is great, but the short term memory sucks.

I also had a problem with the QWK and REP packets recently, and
thought I had lost the REP packet...because I had to shut down quick,
due to rapidly developing thunderstorms in the area.

I can lock the door to my apartment or car...but, 2 seconds later, I
can't tell you if I locked it.

As for the QWK and REP packets, I had to change the archiver/extractor
to PKZIP/PKUNZIP (it wouldn't unpack my packets or create new ones otherwise)...but I left the FIDONet FTN deal of the InfoZip utilities of
ZIP and UNZIP as they were.

    It is.

There are 2 competitions...Punniest Of Show...then High Lies And Low
    Puns.

In Punniest Of Show, the contestant has 90 seconds to deliver a
monologue (having it at 60 seconds is best). It can be full of puns, or
have a big one at the end.

At 90 seconds, a bell rings, and points start being deducted. At 2
minutes, a second bell rings, and the contestant is disqualified.

The winner is based on a score, and the amount of applause or groans.

In High Lies And Low Puns, there are several subject categories. You
know what all the categories are in advance, but you do NOT know which
one will be yours until you get on stage.

Each punster has 5 seconds to make a pun, and you can't use the same
pun twice. The competition continues until only one punster is left.

When I did 3 ham radio skits, with The Good Lord's Inspiration, I had
a lot of ham radio puns and humor. I had to practice it several times,
as even I could not keep a straight face.

Non-hams wouldn't understand it, but the hams would. <G>

Only because dad told those jokes, the son groaned saying they were awful,
then told the same joke several years later.

That is pretty much how it goes. You get tired of dad jokes, and then when someone becomes a dad themselves, they start telling those same dad jokes.
