• Water And Rent

From Daryl Stout@VERT/TBOLT to ALLEN PRUNTY on Monday, May 23, 2016 23:35:00
    Allen,

I just sat through an interesting meeting with my city councilwoman... AP>hate to break it to you but your toilet is electric... water pressure is AP>maintained by electric pumps once the gravity feed of the water towers
    is exhausted.

When the water pipes out where I live busted recently, residents had
to use bottled water (gallon containers) to use for the toilet, or other
stuff, as the water was shut off, while the pipe breakage was repaired.
At least I could go use the "sandbox" at my Mom's place, but I know not everyone had that luxury. At least they don't charge us for water in the
rent, which is normally 30% of ones income (everyone out here is
disabled, which is a requirement to live here). However, if one has a
lot of medical expenses during the year, they can submit that with the
yearly rent recertification to get a lower rent.

    Daryl
