a long time ago, before DSL and cable. there were dial up bbs'es and they had ->door games.
since im a new sysop for my BBS i dont see nay place to find door games, or ->add them. is this a thing of the past?
No. It's isn't.
or can you still add and play them. i have a high speed 10 node BBs, but i ->think it can acttually handle a few more nodes.
Yes, you can.
i have a 40 mb up and 60 mb down connection. so im wondering how many nodes ->will it handle?
I seem to recall that there was a way that you could figure this out, but with the advent of cheap memory and faster connections, this is a thing of the past I believe.
also one other thing. downloads on BBS's still have modem commands. if you use
a telnet connection Via DSL. how would you upload or download
files to your bbs?
You would need a program like mTelnet, SyncTerm or NetRunner that is basically a telnet client with ZModem file transfer capability.
