For whatever reason, MultiMail kept locking up on me, so I had to go
to OLX. The main advantage with MultiMail, is it allows for longer taglines. OLX is a bit limited on tagline length. But, it's better than
no QWK Mail at all.

I registered it years ago...I think I originally was using SLMR. Unfortunately, I don't know if any shareware copies exist, or if it can
be registered.

The only thing I don't like about it is "shorter taglines", when compared to Multi-Mail. But, I have to make do, because for whatever reason, MultiMail kept crashing over here.

I'm pretty certain you should have an OLXWin license if you were a
wildcat sysop when Mustang was alive. I believe they gave every sysop a licnese for OLX.

I still have SLMR but I don't have an early enough version of PKZip to make it work. You need a version before the 2.50 version of PKZIP.

I wonder why that is but pkz204g.exe was the release before 2.50. It should b A>easy enough to find on a search.
I've got version 2.04g over here for download from the Archivers/Extraction programs files area. I have noticed that
PKZIP/PKUNZIP 2.50 does NOT work well with FTN packets.
I might still have the 1.10 version of PKZIP, but I use 2.04g, and it seems to work well.

yes it does. you need to change the command line if you have pkzipconsole
you can actually upgrade 204g to 250 and keep most of the same command lines. that's for registered users and you need the utilities to do so.
i have used pkzip25 for ftn just fine.

pkzip 1.10 is shit and has an exploit. no reason to use it.
use info-zip if anything.

Google gives me nothing... Do you have a link?
Still would have to drop to Parallels, but would prevent dropping to a
DOS box once there...

You would have to contact Santronics Software -
http://www.santronics.com (yes, they are the same people who make Wildcat!).
fact, I switched from info-zip to pkzip 2.50 because I started noticing info- zip was having a problem unzipping some of the FTN packets I was getting, and pkzip 2.50 was able to unzip them without any problems.

I was having problems with 2.50 and the FTN packets. So, I went back
to 2.04g, which works just fine.
