Sad news, for sure. His BBS is still connecting here for DOVE-Net and appears to be answering incoming Telnet connections at 24.74.1.4.

He was a huge proponent of WWIV BBS Software and will be missed. I hope something can be done to carry his memory forward through BBS history.

i dont know what the situation is at his home. i'm not sure if he had a room mate or someone to check on him.

and then i just found out greg thornhill(his friend and mine) from thornysbbs died in may from an infection that went into his brain.

i wish he would have just got help. he was on my irc server around the time he got sick but didnt talk much and one day he just logged off.

he didnt like doctors and i guess things just got real bad.

Very sad news. While i didn't know Eli, i knew of his "Skull & Crossbones" bbs for many years.

This dreaded and horrible disease takes so many lives. Leukemia took my Dad from us in 2011. My sincere condolences to his friends and family.
