Just checking if taglines are enabled.

Looks like they are.. how did you do that?

In your ctrl folder there are several *.cfg files for Slyedit. One is Slyedit.cfg, just enable it there.

You can also pick different themes for your editor. I'm using the SlyIceColors_EmeraldCity.Cfg

*** Do what you will with this tagline, just don't bother me about it!

That setting in the .cfg file controls the default setting for users; users can still enable it for themselves if they want. As a user, to enable tag lines in SlyEdit, open the user settings (by using Ctrl-U) and enable the
tag line setting. Then, upon saving your message, SlyEdit will prompt you
if you want to add a tag line.

If you have the tag line option disabled in SlyEdit.cfg, then that option will be disabled for users the first time they use SlyEdit, but users can enable it for themselves if they want (using the user settings with Ctrl-
U). Similarly, if the tag line setting is enabled in the .cfg file, first- time users of SlyEdit will have that option enabled, but they can disable
it for themselves if they want.

I know we had talked about this before, but I forgot what the outcome or answer
    was to it.

When you setup a "signature" in Synchronet, it seems to put the sig /after/ the
tagline. Is this something Synchronet does in regards to possibly putting it at
the very end of the message? Or is there a way to have SlyEdit check if a signature is present and append the tagline after it?

Basically, from what I've seen most other editors do, is to append the tagline after any signature, and right before the tearline, like so:

    Sincerely,
    Myself!

    ... Here is your tagline.
    -+- Tearline information
+ Origin: Origin line if an FTN echomail message...

If it's specific to the way Synchronet slaps the signature on a message, maybe we (or I, if I'm the only one interested) can ask DM about it and see if there's a way to do this.

When the tagline is put before the signature, it almost makes it look like it's
still part of the message, and possibly posted by the sender rather than something appended to the very end of the messaage.. if you get what I'm saying.

    Regards,
    Nick

+1 The above is much cleaner, or maybe it is just what I am used to seeing.

Synchronet appends your signature after you save the message, so as far as I know, I don't think SlyEdit has any way to do that.

That's what I kinda figured. Maybe we can ask DM about it over in the proper sub-board and see what he says. I know he has a signature (unless it's a macro)
setup and he posts his Synchronet fun facts after it.. so it may be possible.
